Get a load of THIS:
teachers are instructed to read the story to their classes as if it were a news report that had just happened within the past hour:
News report: New Act of Terrorism
A local militia, believed to be a terrorist organization, attacked the property of private citizens today at our nation’s busiest port. Although no one was injured in the attack, a large quantity of merchandise, considered to be valuable to its owners and loathsome to the perpetrators, was destroyed. The terrorists, dressed in disguise and apparently intoxicated, were able to escape into the night with the help of local citizens who harbor these fugitives and conceal their identities from the authorities. It is believed that the terrorist attack was a response to the policies enacted by the occupying country’s government. Even stronger policies are anticipated by the local citizens.
Later in the curriculum, teachers are instructed to reveal to students that the event described above the historic Boston Tea Party.
You have to be stark raving insanely DEPRAVED to report the event this way. Even the British did not say it this way. The original tea partiers were the ones who had to hold secret meetings, they were the ones who were hunted and terrorized… by the authorities, the Red Coats and their spies, simply for exercising what they thought were their rights as Englishmen protesting the actions of Parliament and the Crown.
How do things like this happen in TEXAS ?!?!?! and why does Gov. Perry stand for it? I’d be out there BURNING this stuff in one school after another and arresting its authors and promulgators for child abuse.
Of course the one thing we must never mention is that the first year of the Plymouth colony was an experiment in socialism that, surprice sureprise, it failed utterly at the cost of many lives, and that the first Thanksgiving was possible because the colonists went back to private enterprise.
Gee, do you suppose the socialists masquerading as “Democrats” would ever permit teaching THAT?
And this is the Pope who talks to God, too, no doubt. How could he ignore all those Chrsitian scientists and researchers who devote great effort to verify the truthfulness of the Bible? Some worked specifically on DATING the astronomical event and relating it to a specific LOCATION based on the description of the Star of Bethlehem given in the Bible. As I recall from an article I read maybe 2-3 years ago (and again, I am too lazy to google it) it wasn’t A star, a nova, a comet or a meteor; it was the coincidence of three stars and planets that would look like one especially bright object from nowhere else but the Holy Land, and was recorded by observers from Europe through China.
Rather than engaging in pointlessly undermining the foundations of his own faith, it would have made more sense if the Pope had proposed that our calendar would be based on historical, archeological evidence for the first time Man started counting the years and recording history, and set that as Year Zero, oh, roughly six thousand years ago.
